About Me & Collaborating Providers

Bonnie M. Shanser, MA, LMHC, LPC-S, SEP.
In holding the Eastern-based philosophy that sees every human as inherently whole and brilliantly sane, I believe that every pain we carry--at its source--shares the wisdom of how to heal it. Supporting you in connecting more directly to your experience, to inhabit your body, and compassionately navigate the sometimes complex layers of this space can allow for reintegration of parts of yourself you may have lost connection to.
In reconciliation of one's whole being--there is often a reclaiming of our lived experience that needs to happen for greater alignment to occur within ourselves and within our relationships.
From a body psychotherapy approach I am rooted in the transpersonal, allowing for spiritual pieces to unfold where they may. I support incorporating elements from wilderness and beyond, music, expressive arts, movement , and altered-state therapies. I offer Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy, pre and post-ritual integration, often helping people challenged by trauma, anxiety, and depression.
I work with people who are ready to listen to their body, open to new information and new ways of perceiving. I work as a compassionate guide, not an authority, of my client's experience.

Bonnie took her first step into this in this realm as a wilderness therapy instructor. After 5 yrs in this position she decided to deepen in this line of work and began her studies at Fairhaven College and Western Washington University, graduating with an Interdisciplinary degree focusing on the intersection of psychosomatic wellbeing and nature-based education. She continued on to graduate with her MA in Clinical Mental Health and Somatic Counseling from Naropa University and has further emphasized her work in trauma resolution training. She holds additional certificates as a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner and is trained and certified by the Psychedelic Research & Training Institute (PRATI). As an integrative practitioner Bonnie incorporates approaches from Authentic Movement, IFS (Internal Family Systems) and , ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) among others.

Collaborating Provider -- Dr. Raj Jayarama
I’m a board-certified emergency physician with 25 years of experience, currently practicing at St. Joseph Emergency Department and Skagit Valley Hospital, where I’ve served as Medical Director of the Emergency Department for the past six years. I completed my residency training in New Jersey and went on to pursue an ultrasound fellowship in Charlotte, North Carolina.
In addition to emergency medicine, I also work in an integrative medicine clinic—an experience I deeply value. I believe in the powerful connection between mind and body, and in the importance of treating both to promote true healing.
Now based in Bellingham, Washington, I recharge by exploring the local trails on my mountain bike. Before medicine, I played rugby for 12 years, and I still carry that same spirit of grit, camaraderie, and resilience into everything I do.
